After losing the Ottawa Hills and Delta games by narrow margins, the Re- serves came back to win a very exciting game Going into the Tournament the Reserves had revenge by trouncing the Waterville Reserves 30 to 19. The second night Holland met Ottawa Hills and lost by a large margin. on the Whitehouse floor. The last game at Waterville was one of the best games ot their season. After tying the game and then playing overtimef Waterville won by 2 points. With the basketball material remaining from the varsity squad and the increased support of good materials from this reserve squad, we have good reason to be optimistic and predict a winning year for the coming school year.

The success of a team is not wholly measured by the number of games won, but also by the sportsmanship and courage acquired in playing a good, clean game and by entering the game with an un- beaten spirit. Ho11and's team was successful in these respects. Both of the games won were played on Hol- land's floor, and were interesting to watch. The team never let its fans down, but kept plugging away at the basket until the end of the game. Harold Cramer, Karl Wohlfarth, Daniel Chin- nis, Lester Davidson, George Kent, and Gene Gibson will graduate this year: but, with the players on the Reserve who will be eligible for the Varsity Holland should have a good team next year.

They won six out of eleven games and played in three tournament games. This year the County Iunior High League was active for the first time since 1941, and Holland was fortunate to be able to participate. In spite of the tact that the boys had to prac- tice early in the morning, they were present for ninety-five per cent of the seven o'c1ock prac- tices. They had as their motto We don't care which teammate makes the bucket, just so it's made. Holland need never to worry about having a winning team if it can keep a group of boys like these together when they are eligible for the varsity team.
