G.A.A.Moottnq Decorating Committee T The Autumnl-lop The Senior Girls' Athletic Association, which was organized in 1936 for the upper three classes of the high school and for the purpose of promoting athletic interests for the girls in this school, had a very successful year. The club is governed by a constitution, and new members are initiated. According to tradition, the Senior girls received pins. The organization raised money by sponsoring the noon programs, in co-operation with the Varsity They also sold refreshments, pro- grams, and the school colors at the home games arid the Basketball Tournament. To further in- crease the funds, the Autumn Hop was given in November, a show in December, and luke Box dances after the Clay and Waterville bas- ketball games. During the school year the G. A. A. girls earned over five hundred dollars. Refreshments-Autumn Hop The major use for this money was the Athletic Banquet and Dance, which this year included baseball players for the first time, and gave the G. AIA. girls a guest list of one hundred and seventy. This number included the faculty and club members. Other expenses for the club were new uniforms for the cheerleaders, G. A. A. pins for all Senior girls, and cheerleaders' awards. The girls played basketball after school hours under the direction of Miss Callin who also directed the minstrel which was presented in March with much success. Our advisor, Mrs. Potter, has assisted in all of the activities and has always been more than willing to lend a helping hand and to cffer sugestions which helped toward a success- ful year.
