ln 1926 the Kilties first public appearance, in the Rotarian parade pictured above, marked the realization of a dream for their founder R. Ritchie Robertson, Since that time they have been recognized as the oldest girls' uniformed drum corps in the United States. The 1951 corps of high stepping lassies, led by drum maiorette Trula Celsheimer, pictured on the right, celebrated the Kilties' silver anniversary, To the community this meant twentyefive years of loyalty and service spent in the unselfish task of bringing honor and respect to Senior High School. The sight of these pretty Scottish lassies strutting proudly by in their red and black kilts of Royal Stewart plaid calls forth the admiration of every student and alumni.
