Our administrators form such a group. Mr. Homer Kesterson is dean of boys. His sense of fairness and his interest in the pupils make him greatly admired. As- sisting Mr. Kesterson is Mrs. Mary Pugh. Miss Calhoun is dean of girls. Her charming and under- standing manner has made her a favorite with the girls. Ably assisting Miss Calhoun in her work is Mrs. Mary Moffett. V General Education, a successful course combin- ing English and social studies, has been a part of the curriculum of Senior High School since l94l-42. Emphasis is placed on oral and written English. Pupils in these classes have many opportunities for experi- ences in reading, writing, and speaking. Only sophomores and juniors may schedule for General Education. These classes meet for two hours a day with one teacher, who combines the work of the otherwise separate classes. Seniors may choose a specialized course in Eng- lish and are required to take civics.
