Class of 61 Bids Farewell The Class of 1961 first captured the SHS spotlight as awkward sophomores in the fall of 1958. The traditional burning of the “S’” at Homecoming and outstanding scholastic achievements brightened the year’s events. As juniors, the Class of 1961 assisted in leadership of the school and concentrated with dauntless enthusiasm on their presentation of the Junior-Senior Prom with a theme of “Heaven on Earth.” Outstanding leaders and scholars emerged from the groups during their senior year as the class proved to be “tops” in every aspect of high school life. The future holds assured success for the Class of 1961 as they fulfill their motto of “Today Decides To- morrow.” Senior boys exhibit qualities of dignity and poise at the senior assembly. ae oe Xu . al Class leaders, Dave Crowe and Steve Peglow, partic- ipate in an assembly.
