Music Department S.H.S. is justly proud of its music department. The orchestra, choruses, and bands have given outstanding concerts, in addi- tion to special numbers on various occasions. Springfield High School had the largest representation of any school in the district at the District Four Music Contest held in Monmouth, where individual performers accumulated twenty-one l’s or superior ratings, and fourteen 2’s or excellent ratings. A variety of courses is offered including Algebra | and Il, Geometry, Basic, Practical, Consumer and Functional Mathematics. Stu- dents who meet definite requirements may take either Advanced Math- ematics or Advanced Placement Mathematics.
