No More Homework, a three-act comedy was presented by the 1957 Senior Class through the courtesy of the Row-Peterson Company of Chicago. I A cast of 17 presented the story of Ames High School as it was left in charge of the Student Council officers while the Principal spoke at a convention. The play was directed by Luella K. Nielsen and Ronald Stricklett. The evoninq beqan with a banquet and program presented by the junior class. Tollowinq the Granrl March was dancina to Les and His Merry Men. At two o'clocl4 a.m. everyone gathered at the Home Theater to watch The Mountain selected by the seniors. Arriving at Lincoln by bus at 9:15, a tour was taken through the Goodyear Rubber Company. The two busloads of Seniors then traveled to Pioneer Park for a picnic and afternoon of fun, including horseback riding, play- ing softball, badminton, volley ball, ten- nis, and hiking. Shopping and sightsee- ing in Lincoln completed the rest of the day. At 7:30, the tired students left for Blair after a very exciting day away from school. ,mr if Honors Convocatlon Honors Convocation was held on May l7, 1957 ln the DHS auditorium.
