Rosie Uchytil was crowned Victory Valentine as a result ol' the class having sold the most war bonds and stamps. Their second year in SUHS saw them hecoming more and more active with Ken- neth lohnson as President. 'At the carnival that year, Carley Gillespie was Sophomore princess. The highlight of their Iunior year was the Junior-Senior Prom, for which the es' tahlishcd theme was 'Stairway to the Stars. Class President was Bobo Clingman, and carnival princess was Juanita Crabtree. The success of the 1946 carnival VVitches' Festival was due in large part to the management ol' Kennith lilacltmon. The Seniors saw their representative, ,lean Eversole. crowned Queen hlillcrette VI. Among the important events of the spring were the Senior play 'lYou Canit Take It VVith Youm and the Senior picnic held on a Sunday in May. This class was the lirst to decide to have a May king as well as a queen. The stu- dent hody voted and chose a laing, a queen, a princess royal, a crown prince, and ten attendants, all members of the Senior class. Lorraine Engel and Bobo Clingman were the honored pair.
