Well, Jesus came to save us from death caused by all the wrong things we love to do, Cdon't they call that sin?J We either serve him or ourselves, and he came to change us so we will love him and obey him. I used to go to church, but I wasn't a Christian. God was just some idealistic supreme being. But one day someone told me how practical it is to let Christ run my life. I gave it a try and said, Hey, Lord-I don't know if you are there or not, but if you are, will you please forgive me for all the wrong l've done? Will you save me and control my life? I want to be a Christian. Will you be my friend? Thanks. Then I let him. He changes me and it hurts sometimes, but it is worth it. What is com- parable to eternal life? To knowing Christ? The choice is yours! Along with the personal goals of the club members such as Paul Dees, who has written above, the club as a whole has a goal and a purpose to promote Christian fellowship among the student body, to learn more about the Bible, and the saving grace of our Lord, and most important of all to serve God. ln the beginning of the year they had a bake sale and the money was sent to Teen Challenge in New York. Teen Challenge is a rehibilitation center for drug addicts where Jesus is the cure and answer. In February, they started spon- soring an eight year-old child who lives in South America, has hardly any home life, and is hungry. They hope that the future Bible studies will continue to sponsor this child through compassion. KBQY, Sue Keefe. 30 Youth For Christ
