Competition was grueling in the City Wrestlers seized first ' in city meet and L big 12 conference ' Continuous practice and skill enabled the Senator wrestling team to compile the impressive record of 14 wins and 4 losses. Co-captains were Tom Flemming and Greg Locke: the team was coached by Mr. Meidel. Wrestlers with out- standing records were Jack Gru- well, Tom Flemming and John Oaks. Seasonal highlights came when the team placed first in the City and Big 12 tournaments. They also captured 4th in the Holiday tourn- ament and 5th in the district. Ad- vancing to sectional were: Jack Gruwell, Dave Paull, John Oaks and Greg Locke. Tom Flemming qualified, but was hospitalized. Tournament matches. . .3- 3 g X ..
