Happiness is having hundreds of admiring eyes watching the proudest moment of your life. 20 Homecoming '68 was considered a great success. lt's All In The Game was the theme of the 1968 Homecoming Dance which was held in the gym where a football motif prevailed. Student Council sponsored the fi 1 dance on Saturday evening, Octo- ber 19. Music was provided by the Guild, a well-known group from St. Louis. Climaxing the festivities was the crowning of the 1968 Home- coming King and Queen, Ken Car- pentier and Janet Cole. fl At Homecoming, the student body came on strong! Meyer, Marty Clements. 22 Senators assailed Green Waves, 4 - , in homecoming game Homecoming activities started on Friday, October 18, with an evening pep assembly. October 19 proved to be a perfect day for the Homecoming game. ln the morning, the Freshman football team de- feated Southeast, and the Sopho- mores tied Bloomington. After judges had awarded A Cappella first place in the float competition, the parade proceeded through the downtown area to Memorial Stadium. The activities were climaxed by a resounding Senator victory over the Mattoon Green Waves - 45 - 7l
