Junior and Senior members of Student Council and other volun- teers led the grand tour of the school. The new students were shown their homerooms and given a chance to run through their schedules. lVlr. Frank and Mr. Hott spoke of Underclassmen explore the new gym. l8 opportunities offered at S.H.S.g and Mr.Hottexplainedtheroom-number- ingsystemandproperconduct.Each counselor spoke to the new stu- dents, welcoming them and giving them ideas on what to expect dur- ing their years at S.H.S. Seniors splash for cash at car wash You want me to do what?! Seniors got out the dirt that others left behind. a 1.-an '.. ,MW e.xA,,., M... . Jeff Seward, Curt Lindquist, Rich Howe, and Mark Hellner tackle one of the larger specimens at the Senior Car Wash. The Senior Class wasted no time in setting up its first money-raising project. The annual Senior Class Car Wash was held the second week of school on Saturday, Sep- tember 14, at the Town and Country Bank. Several workers also washed trailers at Pendleton Dodge in an effort to make some extra money. The Seniors, advised by Mrs. Garrison and Mr. Wallis, showed their enthusiasm by turning out in large numbers to wash the many cars. The sunny skies and enthusi- astic workers helped boost the Senior Class treasury by more than 3250. I9
