Seienfzfic Discovewes Necessjmfed Cowie Revision This year in the Science Depart- ment there were many interesting courses from which to select. Courses were offered in General Biology, Physiology, and Zoology. In the field of Physical Science the courses were Physics, Chemistry, and a Unified Physics and Chemistry course. For superior students interested in Biology, a Research Biology class was offered. This class, conducted by Mr. Wind, was designed to enable stu- dents to utilize facilities within the community in pursuing research pro- jects. Everybody who takes this course submits, along with his general work, a research paper. Outstanding papers are entered in the District Science Fair in jacksonville. Some progress to the State Science Fair in Champaign. Others are submitted for Ford Foundation Awards. Dale Baldridge Dwight Morrison 30
