Mrs. Haaker, the librarian, Mrs. Poiriez, her assis- tant, and ten student assistants worked hard handling the 8,000 books and magazines and assisting the stu- dents. The library this year added 500 new books and ten new magazines, including three English publications. Of the three latter, the English mag- azine, Punch, has had surprising popularity among the students. Five individual study carrels, booths for private studying or read- ing, were brand-new accessories in the library this year.
