The department heads coordinated activities of the various departments, including decisions on course offerings and the scheduling of teachers for classes. Figuring and submitting the budg- et for the departments and keeping account of supplies was a major task tackled by members of this group. They did this with the cooperation of the teachers in their respective fields and with approval ofthe administra- tion.
