Qoooeeoeecoeceeoehw-S6 eeemoeoeeoooeooeeeo bzmor jmeak ibap Tuesday Apr1l 20 the senlor class stole a march on the hlgh school and took a well deserved sneak day At elght o clock all were at Balley s corner ready to tart on an all day s Outlllg' After conslderable dlscusslon as to the wrecks 1n the class vxe vsere on our way About ten oclock we reached Lmcoln because we had declded to make thls an educat1onal trlp Our first stop was at the state capxtol bulldlng W V1S1t6d the state superlntendent s office and from there on we were conducted through the bulldlng by the asslstant state superlntendent Mr Speedle Probably the most lnterestlng thmgs we saw wele the mam lobby and the handsomest man 1n the bulldmg Mr Charlle Pool The mam lobby IS beautl fully decorated wlth large pillars of marble and the ce1l1ng IS palnted with many deslgns showlng the dlfferent anlmals of Nebraska and also the dlfferent seasons Leavmg the capltol the class went to Antelope Park After a very 6XCltll'lQ ball game all en,1oyed the DICDIC dlnner which we had taken along We v1s1ted the penltentlary but were not allowed to go through the bulldlngs We were shown the l1brary and the chapel rooms and were told about the var1ous trades the DFISOHBTS wele taught Our next stop was the state asylum Some vsere afrald to enter but everyone dld and strange to say all were allowed to leave Last but not least was the museum 1n whlch we saw many 1llt6l'6Stll'1g obJects especlally the b1rds pottery mummles and dlfferent stones We also learned that one man had dlscox ered 43 000 klnds of fleas and that only one thlrd of the anlmals lnsects and blrds IH the world had names When four thlrty arrlved we left the clty behlnd us and be an our home ward trlp We arr1ved at Ashland where we bought some we1n1es and then went to the tourlst park where a second exc1t1n0f ball game took place wlth beraldlne s sk1llful five wlnnmg After roastmg our XVGIUIGS we began the last lap of the Journey all tlred but declaring lt to l e the end of a perfect day 0000 O 0009000 OOO PIFTYTHRLI' OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO .
