The 1974 season was forecast as a Come Back year for the Maroon and White. The ros- ter was full of returning players who possessed game experience. Coach Dunn made a critical move on offense by switching Matthews to tailback and placing Jack Levy solidly into the quarterback helm. The move gave the Chief's offense more balance plus several optional plays to keep the opposition guessing. The op- position was kept guessing the first half of the season as the Chief's displayed a well tuned offense. Behind a hard charging offensive line, running backs Neeley and Matthews slashed through for good gains. Jack Levy spiced the attack with a barrage of passes mainly to the fleet footed Charlie Small. Levy set new school records in passing for single game and season total. Gathering in early wins the Chief's earned number one ranking in New England. They surprised the opposition with a ripping offense and a swarming defense. The later part of the season proved different as teams came prepared for the Chiefs. However the AIC game was one of the highlights of the season. In a closely contested game, the Chiefs pervailed in the last minutes of the game. They showed great determination and competiveness. The defense showed great improvement from the previous season. They were very sharp against the running attack. Before injurys plagued him, Ken Mitchell roamed the backfield, striking down runningbacks or dropping back to break up passes. Mitchell gained the respect of all New England coaches. Rich Samuelson developed into a bone jawing hitter, who chased down ball-carriers all over the field. Samuelson collected player of the week and All New England selections. The defense as a unit performed well, taking on any challenge, no matter what the odds. 77 78 79 FIELD HOCKEY TEAM TOP ROW: S. Schmickley, D. Desautel, R. Eveland, C. White, J. Radcliffe — Manager. Rothenberger. 80 The Women's Field Hockey Team was extremely successful this past season. The team continued its unbeaten streak through the dominance of both the offensive and defensive units. They compiled a record of 11-0 this year alone. As an indication of the women's total success, a cumulative total shows a 60 wins, 17 losses, and 12 ties record since the sport's initiation in 1963. Obviously, there must be a great deal of talent present on the field hockey team to produce such a winning record, but talent alone is not enough. Much of the credit goes to Coach Dottie Potter, for it is she who took the individual players and mold- ed them into a cohesive and amiable group. The internal and external workings of this team were beautiful to observe, and the scores at the end of the contests reflected the clockwork precision and togetherness that made the women's team out- standing in its league. In post season play, the field hockey team members took part in the All College Tournament, which led to their personal selection in the North East Tournament. Eight out of eleven eligible members were selected to the first team, second team, or received honorable mention. This year the team was co-captained by Donna Dearborn and Karen Bauer. Both of these women provided strong leadership for the team and did an excellent job. As a team, the women look exceptionally strong for the future. They expect to have all of the varsity members returning with the exception of co- captain Donna Dearborn. Next year, the competi- tion looks to be tougher, for the team's weakest opponent has been dropped and the athletic de- partment is seeking stronger teams which will offer stronger challenges to the women. Also, a new phase in post season play is to be initiated. Coach Potter and the team has opted to go to the Region- al for a shot at the Nationals instead of centering the team's efforts on tournaments designed to ad- vance the players on an individual basis. All in all, next year should prove interesting, exciting, and challenging, both for the strong, young women's field hockey team and its supporters. 81 . 82 i ' i . He used his roster well, placing personnel where they best performed. However, Adelphi squeezed by the Chiefs 1-0 and went on to win the College division cham- pionship. Springfield's offensive charge was generated from it's halfbacks Tom Goodman, Haley, Leger and Levenshus. With an offense orientated to crisp, accurate passing and off the ball movement; the forwards had to be mentally sharp plus physically durable. Peter Chandler had all of this plus more proven by his leadership in points. All Star pick, All New England honor and razor sharp skills. Chris Schmid provided aggressive play along with accurate shooting, while Lukens had that game breaking threat. A second wave of attack consisted of upcom- ing players Daniele, Paylor, Edwards, and McNeil. Springfield's defense once again was a big factor in every game. Co- Captain Bob Connor directed the defense from his sweeper back position, making timely shifts to prevent a scoring threat. Mike Ackerman delivered a stiff defense as Peter Kasarjian or Jim Wentzel guarded the other side. Dave Pizarro proved to be the most versatile, skilled player when he was moved from the forward position to center fullback. Pizarro played a smooth steady defense coupled with outlet passes to the halfbacks. Lou LaPenna once again was unbelievable in the goal, earning All American honorable mention and one goal per game average. 85 87 WOMEN'S TENNIS TEAM TOP ROW: S. Rex, J. Chase, G. D'Ambra, L. Melendy. 88 Can one successful season be followed by an- other? The Women's Tennis Team thought so and they made it happen, posting a 9-2-1 record for the 1974-1975 season. In the face of playing with- out a coach, the women practiced for two weeks before the college signed Midge Beecher to coach the team. At the time of her arrival, there were only two days left before the team's first match. Undaunted by the lack of coaching, the women proceeded to rip apart their first oppon- ent, Southern Connecticut, by a score of 8-1. From then on, with the steady coaching of Midge Beecher and the outstanding play of Sue Rex and Lisa Taylor in singles, and strong doubles play from partners Jane Chynoweth and Gail D'Am- bra, and Lin Daniels and Carla Heckrodt, the wo- men never let down. There is a saying that goes, When the going gets tough, the tough get going. The S.C. women got going as the compe- tition they faced in the 1974-75 season included Brown University ... Very TOUGH! The Brown match proved to be the greatest challenge the Springfield College women netters were to have all year. They lost the contest by a one point mar- gin, 5-4. Each match was played to three sets, with the final match deciding the outcome. This play exhibited the spunk and determination of what women's athletics at S.C. is all about. Graduation will hurt the team as it claims Sue Rex, who finished her varsity career without a defeat. It will also cause the loss of Lisa Taylor, who compiled a varsity record of 34-4. Jean Chase will also be missing from the S.C. courts come this fall. Jane Chynoweth, our number one doubles player, will also be leaving, as will the team lose her partner, Gail D'Ambra, for a season. How- ever, even with the apparent loss, the team still feels strongly about the future. Freshman Kate Purcell, playing number 3 singles this year, looks to be a strong aid for next year's team. The return of Chris Davis, who played number 2 singles in 1973-74, from England, promises to warm those chilly Autumn days. Although a few members will be returning, new faces will certainly appear on the court scene. The competition next year should be a tough test for a young team, but if that new team displays half the skill, determina- tion, and spirit that dominated the 1974-75 team, they'll make the grade — with room to spare! 89 90 91 TOP ROW: M. WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL TEAM IB 92 The 1974-1975 sports season saw the Women's Volleyball Team play to a loss-less, tie-less record. Since its onset, the women's team has won thirty games, lost one to powerhouse Southern Connecti- cut in the 1973-1974 season, and has had one tie. The undefeated team this year was led by the efforts of Captain Marcy Packer and All-East, All-Star, Paula Avilla, both seniors. Besides losing Packer and Avilla next year, the team will also lose senior Kathy Connell. In tournament play this year, the team finished first at the Brooklyn Invitational and fourth at the EAIAW Regionals. Both the varsity and junior varsity teams were coached by Marta Picado, an S.C. grad student from Costa Rica. The team's success was due to their togetherness and talent, two very indispensable factors in winn- ing volleyball. The women displayed both ease and confidence in each other on the court, another rea- son leading to their outstanding season. Whatever the reasons, the fact remains that the women had a terrific season! 93 94 95 WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL 8-0 URI 15-13,15-8 W NEW HAMPSHIRE 15-7,15-5 W SMITH 15-7,15-8 w SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT 15-9,14-16.15-6 w CENTRAL CONECTICUT 15-12,9-15,15-8 w BRIDGEPORT 15-1,15-7 w NORTHEASTERN 15-5,15-10 w BROOKLYN 15-8,15-5 w BROOKLYN TOURNAMENT: 1st E.A.I.A.W. Leading scorers were Sherry Sanborn and Mary Regan. High point average for the season was held by Karen McAvoy, who missed three weeks because of a broken hand. Springfield dominated all of their opponents in their victo- ries. Their losses were to Queens College and Southern Connecticut, both of which went to the Nationals. In Regional Tournament play, Springfield finished fourth. A lot of weight was put on Mark Shannon's shoulders to lead the team. Shan- non a 6'3 junior averaged 20.3 points per game and earned an honorable mention All- New England selection. He had a smooth shooting skill that put him 40th among NCAA Division II scorers. The team had a tough time getting started needing more time to gell; however, Coach Bilik felt the early competition was a big factor. The team faced some of the best teams in New England within the first seven games. The next ten games saw the Chiefs take seventy percent of the games. Bill Gregory, a 6'8 forward, developed into the aggressive, well balanced player who could score from all over. Gregory averaged 19.3 points a game and was high scorer in many of the games. He was an All-New England selection, was the squad's leading free throw and field goal percentage shooter. Bruce Frazier, a 6'6 center set the S.C. single game rebounding record of 22. He was the team's leading rebounder with an average of 10.7 plus a scoring average of 13.2. Captain Don Pingree and Ted Williams both displayed 100% hustle, team work and leadership. Gymnastics! What a thrilling, beauti- ful, competitive sport and the 1974- 1975 Women's Gymnastic Team proved themselves an excellent example of what this sport exemplifies! The team's overall success was due to Head Coach Inie Rovegno, Gail Goodspeed — As- sistant Coach, and Captain Leslie Hank Henry. Their seasonal record was 7-1 with the team's first loss in 6 years being to U. Mass., thus making a 7 year record of 43 wins and 1 loss. In post season competition, the team first travelled to Princeton, New Jersey for the Eastern Collegiate Champion- ship. The team took a second place with outstanding performances shown by Katherine Kolemainen, Debbie Dunkley, Stephanie Jones, and Karen Whitelaw, all of whom made finals. The team then qualified for the Nationals which were held in Hayward, Califor- nia. The team did a super job and were winning the meet all the way up until the unevens event. A fourth place Na- tional finish was due to six girls and their coaches: Dunk, Kath, Nicki, Kuraz, Stephanie Bones, Captain Henry, and Inie and Gail. Debbie Dunkley and Stephanie Jones were honored by being chosen as All- Americans due to their brilliant perfor- mances on the balance beam and une- vens respectively. The team's together- ness, and strong desire to work hard and win lived up to Miss Murray's saying — Be All You Can Be — and that they were! 187 I MEN'S GYMNASTICS TEAM: FRONT ROW L TO R: Tony Hall, Al Herrick, John Kujawski, Steve Francis, Phil Rhoades, Bruce France, Rick Robinson, Tom Cousens, Jim Harvey. Winning the next three meets (Cornell, Temple Pittsburgh) they faced the powerhouse of the east. Southern Con- necticut. Both teams being undefeated, it was to decide the top two teams in the E.I.G.L. Both teams gave a superb showing but, after the last event it was obvious that Southern was superior. Springfield went on to win the remainder of their meets except for an unexpected defeat did not, however, put the breaks on their mo- mentum. At the New England Championship S.C. came out on top with Tony Hall taking 5 out of the 7 championship titles. The titles for Pommel horse and rings were taken by Al Herrick and Steve Francis, respectively. The gymmies really put it together at the Eastern Championships where they placed second under Southern Connecticut. Medal winners at the championship were John Kujawski, Al Herrick, Jim Harvey, Steve Francis, Tony Hall, Bruce France, and Tom Cousens. The climax of the season was the individual as well as the team performances put out at the NCAA Championships. The team took fourth place backed by the three All- Americans and two National Champions, senior Tom Cousens took the National title on horizontal bar while sophomore, Tony Hall took first on vaulting. In addition to the two first places, Al Herrick, Jim Harvey and Rick Robinson captured All-American status. M.V.P. team award went to Tony Hall this year while the most “Improved Gymnast was Rich Samuels. The team was lead by captain Phil Rhoades and coached by Frank Wolcott, Bob Cargil, and Tom Yeager. 189 190 191 A ON4EM S TOP ROW: B. McKenna, C. Suzio, J. Collier, B. Rumney, G. Ward, K. Feresey, J. Coach Joe McEvoy ended his three years with a successful 6-3 dual meet sea- son, a New England Championship, a 9th place finish in the Easterns, and a trip to Arizona for the Nation- als. Included in the win-loss record was the thrilling victory over the Nitany Lions of Pennsylvania State. Post season highlights came at the New Englands held at Brown University. Springfield posted a one point victory over Southern Connecticut after losing to the Owls by over twenty points during the dual meet season. This victory gave S.C. its 8th Cham- pionship in the past 9 years. With commencement this May, the team will be losing co-captain Sue Peterson and Jean Chase. Sue has added the versatility that gave Springfield a large part of its depth and strength. Jean Chase will be remembered mostly for her “in the clinch diving performance at the famed Penn. State meet. Finally, we'd like to dedicate this portion to Coach Joe McEvoy, a man of unlimited dedication and knowledge. He has given our team a great deal and for this we are grateful. We wish him the very best, as he only deserves. With the season over and gradu- ation upon us, the pool's waves are all just a memory — but a happy and rewarding one! Thanks Joe! Coach Red Silvia, again as in the past, had his swimmers ready for the test at the New Eng- lands and two weeks later at Division II Nation- als at Cleveland State University. Taking second at the New Englands to Brown was no disgrace as it saw the mermen break 14 college records and 2 New England records. Fourteen swimmers, and one diver qualified for the Na- tionals, making it the largest team ever sent by Springfield. Improving even more for the Nationals, Springfield was able to place fifth, just eight points out of third place. Tim Allen, a junior, captured National championships in the 50 and 100 freestyle, while taking second in the 200 freestyle. All three swims were school and New England records. Senior Captain Pete Sansone after being plagued with a peptic ulcer early in the season came back to win the 100 breaststroke setting a new' school and New England record, and falling just .013 short of the national mark. Freshman sensation, Mike Me Combs won the 200 butterfly, was fourth in 100 backstroke, and fifth in the 400 individual medley. Sophomore Greg Lockard placed sixth in the 200 back, and Jim Megee, a freshman, was ninth in the 100 back. The 400 Medley Relay of Me Combs, Sansone, Allen and senior Captain Dave Whiting took second going under the national record, but losing by .016 of a second. The 400 and 800 freestyle relay of Chris Sigler, Mike Orstein, Whiting and Allen, took sixth and tenth respectively. All told for the year: 17 out of 18.School Records 5 New England Records 8 All-Americans 3 NCAA Champions. 197 198 199 MEN'S VOLLEYBALL: FRONT ROW L TO R: Myles Cahoun, Carl Sloan, Ed Neil, Robert Stoney Breninger, Winston Wong, Barry Winsett, Charles Richardson. His spirit never weakens. He displays his skill. And exhibits his form, Which has taken hours to obtain. Collectively they are one; Yet, within each one there, Is his own drive and desire. In a caption of thoughts, you have met the '74-75 volleyball team. Under the leadership of Coach Hay, the team proved to have another outstanding year. At the Ohio State University Invitational Volleyball Tournament, the team performed like that of the best. Placing third and missing the Championship match by one game, the team had every reason to hold their head high. This was the best performance of any S.C. team. Though at the end of the season the team fell short of their goal. There are many teams that would have traded their record for ours. Everyone wants to win, yet at times a greater lesson is learned from losing. As another season comes to an end, there are those whose college career has also come to an end. Speaking for those Seniors, we wish every team at S.C. that next year be successful and all goals obtained. 201 202 203 I MEN'S WRESTLING: FRONT ROW: L TO R Mike Anderson, Craig Stevens, Kevin Cassedy, Vic Buehler, Phil Capodilupo, Mike McRae, Dave LaBree, Paul Rogers. The S.C. wrestler thrashed New England competition with scores like 33- 7, 47-9, 36 to 8 and 35-3. Early in the season the mat-men trained hard, conditioning them- selves and eliminating flaws from their various moves to become fluid, precisioned wrestlers. The atmosphere among the team was charged up, their sights and thoughts directed to a good season and the all important NCAA championships. The most intense example of this determination was Nick Porillo. Nick who wrestled at 167 pounds, concentrated hard on conditioning to domi- nate his opponents. His 45 wins, two losses plus 24 near falls to none proves his domination over opponents. Most impressive was his 14 pins during the season. A severe ankle sprain dashed his hopes of National champion though he earned All-American status. At 150 class. Rich Monroe placed fifth and became an All-American status for the third straight ye r. He was undefeated in dual meets, compiling 24 take downs and 19 near falls. Rich showed his great skill in the New England College Division championships where he registered two pins and two lopsided scores. In many matches Rich Monroe started the successive wins up the weight classes, the best example being the thriller with University of Rhode Island. Jay Mulligan turned in a very good season, posting a 15-2 dual meet record plus placing seventh in the nationals. Jay had great skill in maneuvering around his opponents and drawing them into pinning position. Tim Smith known little for his tug-a-war skill but was well respected on the wrestling mat. He was a hard competitor and a great sportsman. His season record at heavyweight came to 12-4-1. 205 206 207 WOMEN’S BASKETBALL 9-2 MEN'S SWIMMING 6-5 CITY COLLEGE NY UNIVERSITY OF CONNECTICUT NORTHEASTERN BRIDGEWATER CENTRAL CONNECTICUT SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT ITHACA UMASS WORCESTER URI QUEENS BOWDOIN KEENE STATE BROWN HARVARD MAINE DARTMOUTH CENTRAL CONNECTICUT AMHIRST Witt I AMS MIT UNIVERSITY OF CONNECTICUT E A.I.A W. And so by his example, let ours be the same. “He will not be remembered for how he died, but for how he lived. Oh, how he did live. As time passes by People and their places will change. Don't look back and think of what we should have done rather — begin today — and remember the happy memories, the new beginning, the road ahead Everyone — past, future and now will touch us — be kind — be true — be gentle But most of all take the time to be a friend — now that the time is here. After a southern tour to Annapolis the team returned to dispell any thoughts of playing like last year. The team roared through its schedule, winning big against its opponents. Coach Allen's pitching staff worked hard during pre season and their efforts were rewarded through out the season. This year's pitching held a much lower ERA standing. The hitting during the season was numerous and very timely. Kevin Keith once again produced the hits every game. He led the team in doubles and collected R.B.I.'s in nearly every game. Smith, Elhage, Seaward and Delfanti provided hitting skill that opposing pitchers well respected. On defense, the infield grew strong with each game. The fielders made the crucial plays and prevented rallys from starting. Smith did a good job behind the plate. The team had previously scheduled a trip to Holland that interfered playing in the NCAA tournament. They kept their promise to go to Holland. 235 236 237 TOP ROW: Coach D. Potter, M. Regan, C. GOLF 242 ■ The Springfield College golf team produced one of its finest seasons in years, while playing the best in New England. The team rolled up an impressive 11-5 record, preceded by a southern tour in early spring that got the link-men tuned up. Springfield won five of its first six games but then had a slight slump then came back to end strong. Coach Dixie Walker's Chiefs placed third in the Massachusetts Collegiate Championships. Bill Warfield, a junior, was one of the sparks to the '75 team. He played very consistent golf, which enabled him to achieve third place in Massachusetts plus be the medalist or S.C.'s top finisher in the majority of the dual meets. Warfield received Most Valuable Player from his team mates. Playing from the number one slot, he com- piled a 10-4 record. Scott Miller, a sophomore from Delmar, NY had the top won-lost percentage on the team at 12-1-1. 243 VARSITY LACROSSE TEAM: BOTTOM ROW ( L TO R) Craig Ed- wards, Dave Castelline, Ed Craver, Rich Boles, Kevin Spencer, Jerry Kraus, Paul Caldera, Jack Young. 2ND ROW ( L TO R) Steve Twit- chell, Roger Jones, Pete Kasarjian, Amby Orlando, David Pugh, Cary Reho, John Port, Earl Cole. 3RD ROW (L TO R) Bob Bittner, Bill Toussaint, Bill Spacciapoli, Bill Togneri, Mark Sieben, Gair Mere, Rich Paige. 4TH ROW (L TO R) Mark Bechtold, George Wattles, Jack Concannon, Gerry Toner, Bill Turner, Mike Schiatta, Tom McCabe. 5TH ROW ( L TO R) Tom Klement, Ed MacDonald, Ken Alterman, Clyde Brooks, Kur« Windesheim, Coach Jim Anderson. 244 The 1975 lacrosse season pitted the SPRING- FIELD stickmen against the best of New Eng- land. Coach Anderson felt that by playing the best, his team would grow and learn much fas- ter. After coming out of pre-season tuned up and well conditioned, the Chiefs took on Fair- leigh Dickenson, a team stocked with good Long Island players. This game would typify how the rest of the season would go as SPRINGFIELD fought hard through the first two quarters. The Chiefs harassed the more exper- ienced opponents, winning the ground balls, successfully riding and clear- ing and setting the tempo of the game. At half time Springfield led by one goal but the second half, especially the third quarter would be the down fall in this game and many others. Throughout the season the opponents changed their game plans to create confusion plus drew more from the bench. The Chiefs had the trouble of a very inexperienced bench so the starters were facing well rested players. The attack consisted of Earl Cole, Bill Togneri and newcomer Kenny Alterman. Bill Togneri directed the attack and was the leading scorer for attack. The attack started out slow but came together as a unit providing good feeding and movement. Reserves consisted of Jack Young, Wattles, Meres and Rolan. On first midfield, Amby Orlando was the big threat to any team. He possessed quick speed, good deception, excellent stickwork plus bone- jarring defensive play. He led the team in scoring, total points and hustle, even though injured half the season. Richie Boles came through with agres- siveness on ground balls, consistant hustle and a scoring threat around the crease. On second midfield Ed Craver displayed his excellent stickwork and pin point accuracy on shots. He continueously sparked the team by his aggressive play. Craig Edwards supplied crisp feeding and consistant good play on ground balls and clearing. Other Middies, Steve Twitchwell, Jerry Kraus, Bob Bittner, Rodger Jones, and John Port shifted among the two midfield throughout the season. Each contributed tough play when free of injuries. On Defense, goal tending duties went to David Pugh who thrived on stopping the hot shots. He kept the Chiefs close when the pressure was on. Kevin Spenser directed the defense with good skill and tough play. Mike Schiatta excelled on defense after overcoming injuries. Paul Caldera, Tom McCabe, Gary Reho, and John Concannon each contributed to the defen- sive unit. Second-string goalie was Pete Kasar jian. 245 246 247 MEN'S TENNIS: SITTING — FRONT ROW L TO R: Tom Daggett, Ted Wells, Barry Karamourtopoulos, Art Snow, Joel Wincowski, Gary Kitchell, Henry Ludwig, Jay Edwards, Elon Milekowski, Ben Gaieski, Bob Ely, John Bowers. Coach Tyson had to work with a solid core of four returning lettermen but by the early season it was evident that the team was loaded with talent. The team grew stronger with each match during April. The final record was an impressive 11 wins and only 1 loss. Rick Chapentier's aggressive play led the team. His forehand strokes were rocket shots that caught opponents flatfooted. Also his play at the net intimidated the opposition. Rick Charpentier got Most Valuable Player vote from the rest of the team. Rick and Gary Charpentier provided a well coordinated doubles team. One of the best to play at Springfield College. Steve Burkett developed into a very strong single and doubles player. With a consistent forehand and backhand ground stroke he kept the oppo- nents running. Steve received Most Improved Player honors. Henry Ludwig provided some very fine tennis, showing skill in controling the tempo of the game and setting up kill shots. The team placed very well in the tournament played at Middlebury College. 249 I 250 251 MEN'S TRACK: FRONT ROW — SITTING, L TO R: Mark Behr, Al Herrick, Craig Shirley, Steve Dickoff, Bruce Battaglia, Kevin Sorge, — —, Tracy Keller, Dave Spring. The Outdoor season went undefeated with the Chiefs obtaining great wins over Holy Cross and Dartmouth. Such a great season will go down in the books, after four new records were set. These are the 120 H. Hurdles — 14.4 Jeff McCray, 3 mile run — 13:45.6 Charles Duggan, 440 relay — 42.7 Winfield — McCray — Montiero — Whitten and the 880 — 1:51.8 Wayne Wise. Abe Davis was one of the outstanding performers on the squad. Davis' finest events were the Long jump and the Triple jump. Endless practice and deep concentration enabled him to excell in all of the events that he entered. Abe Davis showed a great combination of power and coordination in the long jump. Davis coupled with speedster Jeff McCray to present a one two punch in the 120 high hurdles. The one mile, two mile, and three mile events always drew the crowd's interest; there always the chance of a 1,2,3 sweep plus having Charlie Dug- gan set a new track record. Duggan won every race, with McCann and Peltz not far behind. The big men on the team: Alex McKee, Paul Woodward, Ron Dattoli, and Dave Sherman placed high in their respective events. Six members went to the NCAA Division II Championships — 4 made the ALL-AMERICAN Team. They were Ron Dattoli — discus, Jeff McCray — hurdles, Abe Davis — triple jump long jump, and Wayne Wise — 880 yd. run. 2S3 254 255 BASEBALL SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT 7-1 W NEW HAMPSHIRE 0-3,4- 2 COLBY 3- 1 W WILLIAMS 4-3,7- 0 W WESLEYAN 7- 0 W UMASS 8- 4 W TUFT 2-0,5- 4 W HOLY CROSS 5- 7 L AMHERST 2-0,2- 1 W NORTHEASTERN 6- 5 W UMASS 8- 3 w HARTFORD 6- 2 w BOSTON COLLEGE 12-2,0-12 CORNELL 10- 0 w TRINITY 6- 7 L AIC 0-2,3- 2 PROVIDENCE 0-1,6- 2 R.l.
