28 rijf Jtfassasoft 04 I ni ' Autumn shades were tailing fast, When through the T. S. halls there passed A crowd of men, full thirty strong, Who shouted out both loud and long, ’04. Some were uncouth and some were green; A few were of a studious mien; Some had sharp corners jutting out, But still they all joined in the shout, ’04. Some from the country to the north, One from far India issued forth; While from the North, South, East, anil West Of this great land came forth the rest, ’04. They took no time for undue rest, But started in their work with zest, With eye that scanned the distant height, And ever kept before the sight ’ 04 - In study they did show such zeal, The stern professors came to feel That never had there been a class In all the school that could surpass ’04. When interclass games came around, High on the flagpole there was found A flag with black and orange hue, With numerals on it plain to view, ’04. And though defeat their team befell, High over all rang out their yell, Until the echoes answered back, Hippe-ko-ac, ko-ac, ko-ac,

artjc iWassasoit 27 Our “Raven-haired” Pinneo’s here, Our fair Ebenezer we raise. W e’ve Russell, who liketh to talk, And a chubby young fellow named Hayes. We’ve a pushing young man, Charley Rea, And a curly-haired poet, named Moule. And “Sic” with ambitions as high As the vault that he does with his pole. There’s Sampy, a big second base, And Gray, w T ho the tenor does swell; And Elliott, whose clear silver notes Ring out like the voice of a bell. I hese four in the hours of the night Often tune up their voices full strong, And when others are trying to sleep, Burst out into torrents of song. Then there’s Henckel, a man of affairs, And a big all-round student named Si; And Abbott and Barrier who love In the arms of sweet Mor pheus to lie. There’s Holmes, a sturdy Canuck, And a much-in-love fellow named Scott. There’s Flanagan, benedict he, And Smith, youngest one of the lot. 1 hese thirty men make up the group 1 hat is known as the Naughty Four class. The largest T. S. e’er has known; — On its worth we leave others to pass. But these two little letters T. S., And these two little figures ’04, Are links that are tested and tried, And will bind us in heart evermore. H. Moule

iTtjc Jtfagsascut 29 Beware ’02’s ice hockey team, Through all their course they’d reigned supreme Beware the Grobb and Hadcock pass, But victory came unto the class 04 - In baseball beware Minerva’s toss, Beware the strenous game lacrosse; But louder still unto the sky, In victory rang out the cry, ’04. A year soon passed, and from the West Two husky students joined the rest. A little fellow from the East, And one from “Gay Paree” increased ’04. Again field hockey games came round, ’04 met ’05 on the ground. Both teams for victory did try, And ’05 working hard did tie ’04. Oh stay! ’05 men cried, and rest Thy weary limbs; we’ve done our best. But when next day they played it through, That game, as others, went unto ’04. I ry not the height, the wise ones said, You can not beat the black and red. Who then did bring their Totem out ? Who put the ’03 team to rout ? ’04. Again ice hockey went their way, And basketball to them did stray. 1 hen baseball followed in their course; The winners shouted until hoarse, ’04.
