Dedication Irish Kick-Off Season With A Victory -wt. s -7- orking out in a field during the summer and winter was not easy. It took certain peo- ple who wanted to work hard and be successful. It was the Fighting Irish football team. The football team pos- sessed dedication and Irish spirit. Because ofthe many injuries, the Irish lost some of the games, but the Irish boys remained tough and played hard. None of the dedication and hard work would have been possible with- out Coach Redd and his assistants, Coach Abramovitz, Coach Pancko, and Perry Dobson. Senior Pat Quinn commented on the football season, ttAfter last year's team was so success- ful, we felt very confident and excited going into this year. Our first game was real exciting and we played real well and won. But, from then on, due to injuries, we didn't do as well. From the freshman point of view, Ricky Gumucio commented, ttEven though it wasn't the best season, it was a great experience and I had a great time. Football 59
