Freshmen took a broad overview of grammar, vocabulary, and study skills. To this list of accomplishments, Sophomores added the study of English Literature and their first dreaded term paper. Meanwhile, Juniors concentrated on American Litera- ture, and understanding the meaning behind the authorls work. It was the third year for Mr. Saunders as director of the Science Department, and due to a scheduled rearran- gement of classrooms, his last in Room One of the Freshmen Building. Freshmen were required to take General Science, a study of earth and its surrounding universe.
