They then succeeded in beating Skyline, No. 1 seeded Moorisville and No. 2 Humansville. These victories qualified the fighting Irish for state competition. The first time in 18 years. In the first round the Irish won over Ash Grove 59-51. The Team s campaign was finally halted at the hands of Marionville, losing 63-53.
