Q 37' The path has ended in the land of dreams. The long wait is over and we can all stop and gaze at the vision of reality. Our new school has now become a part of ourselves and our time. Its beauty and memories will abide with each of us through all walks of life. All have watch- ed its development take weight from our anxious minds and place satisfaction in our hearts. The instruction it offers will be maintained in the worlds we build around ourselves. A DREAM COME TRUE -a look from the past into the present, through the doors of our school into the future. We of Springdale have seen a dream materialize through the hands of the workmen, contractors, and with the support of our families. On june 10, 1957, the shining shovel broke the ground in a ceremony symbolizing the beginning of a new era and a horizon for the class of 1960. fam viii wwf ff' l -1-Mmsmffswqi K Springdale flzph Schoal Springdale Pennsylvania il X , l sloninrsirotione I I Seniors I jnniors I Sopnoinores I ,fletioities I ,fltnleties I jnnior ftiyn Senior ?nreWe!i tF K, rf' , . Led by a stalwart line and a hard- charging backfield, our veteran Springdale team downed ten straight Class A foes and won the Allegheny Interscholastic Conference. Much to their dismay, our men didn't get to play Braddock for the WPIAL Class A championship because of a lack of Gardner points. Two games were lost by a total of three points. The squad under Coaches Lenosky and Takach, was the largest in many years, going over sixty. M A yearbook is the product of labor and co-opera- tion. Both committees and editors spent many hours working, along with Mr. Williams their sponsor, toward the perfection of this years ELECTRA. Kathy's artistic ability in art has given the year- book high quality and design. All those catchy sayings would not be so interesting if it were not for the Literary Committee. A school having such a superb record in all sports could not forget to thank the Sports Committee for its accurate account of all our victories. How could we ever have a yearbook without the typists! The click, click, click, of their typewriters was a familiar and enjoyable sound. This meant that the work was being done in a professional manner by our own able students. Last, but not least, we could not forget the su- preme salesmanship of our business committee which contributed much to the success of our ELECTRA. Our thanks must also go to Mr. Sinclair for the expert guidance he gave the committee on financial matters. SEATED-D. Elder, C. Danik, J. Reilly, J. Graham, J. Lepish. STANDING-D. Drew, J.
