The effort and under- standing of the teachers have produced learned stu- dents and good citizens. They have stressed not only the educational phase of schooling, but the social as well. We know these thoroughly educated men and women as teachers in class and friends outside of class. All extra curricular activities have been sponsored by our faculty. The success of any school depends upon its teachers, and we have the cream of the crop. 13

SENIORS It seems like only yesterday we were Sophomores, and here we are now, Seniors. As we look back, we recall many fond memories of the things we did and the good times we've had. The Sophomore, Junior, and Senior class parties, with their barbecues and hot dogs, were evenings of fun. As juniors, we sold peanut brittle to make money for the Prom, which turned out to be a big success. The Prom was held at the Hill Crest Country Club. The music was furnished by Baron Elliot. Our Senior year was one of hard work. Magazines had to be sold to make money for the Yearbook. Adver- tisements and Reader's Digest were also sold to help finance the ELECTRA. Bake sales fur- nished us with a few dollars. Easter candy was sold to make money for our Class Banquet. We held our Banquet at the Paragon on May 18. We enjoyed a delicious chicken dinner and fine entertainment afterwards. The Banquet was held instead of the usual classnight. Bacca- laureate, May 23, was a very solemn occasion for us. Listening to the speakers, we suddenly realized the importance of our high school edu- cation. Then came the big night-May 25- Graduation. We were supposedly grown up and ready to go out to earn a living for ourselves. Could we do it? Many changes had to be made and many obstacles had to be met, but we felt we could.
