four DEDICATION In appreciation, We, the members of the Senior Class of Springdale High School, of the year 1945, gratefully dedicate Electra '45 to the members of the Classes of 1945 and 1946 who are, and who will be, serving their country in some branch of the armed services. 1 To those alumni who have made the supreme sacrifice, we pledge our unfailing love and devotion for the valor, fortitude, and devotion to duty that they have exhibited. Their sacrifice has not been in vain. Their names will be honored as long as We exist, for it is only by their efforts that We are privileged to enjoy the four freedoms. 7

FGREWORD Wfhen we have left schooldays and class- rooms behind us, it is often difficult to recapture old familiar scenes. With this in mind, Electra ,-45 has attempted to portray school life from kindergarten to the last, the Senior year. May it remind you of familiar scenes and faces, revive old memories, and cause you to wonder what has transpired with those who are pictured Within these pages. May it cause you to forget the World's worries and cares as you glance through its pages and recall to your mind the many pleasant days and events of long ago. 1 three
