Ambition carries science forward With accurate course descriptions and better counseling, the science department once again increased in student enrollment, especially in chemistry and physics. Participation in non-required extracurricular activities also increased as nearly 100 stu- dents were involved in the science fair, club and research papers. A sense of expression Seeing the clutter and disorganization of yearbook layouts, newspaper articles and Bulldog Spotlight scripts, Journalism I students find they have something to look forward to? Quick, easy lessons on screaming effective- ly, applying make-up, facial expressions, body language and composure that add up to a performance, drama is a way of expres- sion involving the senses and imagination. A talent that can be expanded in a class, but not taught from scratch 5 something that must be felt. As the classes and French Club were closely entwined, thoughts of films and parties were discussed along with studies, both leading to a greater knowledge of French culture and language. Although foreign language is not al- ways necessary for college admission, in- terest in Spanish increased enough that Spanish lll and lV were added to the foreign language curriculum. Laboratory exercises gave students a chance to hear native speak- ers with attempts to imitate. 2 28!Mind Expansion
