Norman Crowder Board Regulates School Policies The purpose of the Springdale School Board is to make all decisions concerning the quality and methods of education in the school system. The board looks at programs of other communities to compare situations, to find possible solutions to various prob- lems in the school system, and to make pro- grams already initiated in the system more efficient. The board rules on measures regarding district expenditures, books, fac- ulty, employees, and facilities. Serving as Administrative Assistants to Superintendent Thurman Smith are lVlr. Norman Crowder and lVlr. Joe Roberts. lVlr. Crowder directs elementary education and government problems in the school system while lVlr. The purpose of these seminars was to aid teachers in recognizing drugs and their users. These seminars were conducted by Sgt. Gary Swearingen of the Springdale Police Department and were at- tended by all of the Springdale High Fac- ulty.
