Belles Lettres Takes lln ll New Face s ur r- l Pg Long hours, hard work, gallons of ink, boxes of staples, and stacks upon stacks of paper went into the making ofthe 1971 BELLES LETTRES. Mmjudy Tilton, sponsor, contemplates over a selection for BELLES LETTRES ' ix .il - fa.-' 4 ex The 1971 BELLES LETTRES took on a new face and changed its outlook. Unconventional picture on the cover and some ofthe same on the inside, plus a pinch of color, made up the new BELLES LETTRES. BELLES LETTRES is a money- making project for the juniors to finance the Jr.-Sr. Prom and Banquet. This year two sections were added-potpourri and short story. A contest was held to determine the outstanding work in each category, and the winners were treated to din- ner at Mary Maestri's. The 1971 BELLES LETTRE was dedicated to Colleen Letsch.
