Jeanie Nutter. and lid Gideon. vi-ft!-A-' To open the pageant with a bang. a group from the SHS Chorus presented a medley ot Patriotic songs. l l 'll .dee -- 'S JA' 5 The surprised Gay Brandon is congratulated by friends after the announcement that she was selected Miss Congeniality. 25

Girls Get Ready i Marlene Haursalui. presented tr Clirrrueter Ballet. Kitti Sherry sings When You're Smiling. 22 or the Miss SHS Pageant The Miss SHS PAGEANT is held annually. On March 19, 1971 the girls went to ei Complimentary Tea which Wars given by Mrs. Courtney Crouch. The girls met the judges and were asked various questions. There were 15 girls competing for the title of Miss Springdale High School. As her talent, Terry Lefevre plays the Harp. Girls get last minute instruction on the night before the pageant.

Tonia Peoples was chosen Best Actress for her outstanding performance as Alice Kinian. Walter Davis fCharliej was honored as Best Actor. Joe asks Frank why he is so absent-minded as Mrs. Dormer looks on. 24 l Charlie's sister. Norma, is ashamed of her past cruelty to her brother. Child Norma defends her rights to have her own dog despite her parents wishes.
