f ,. DR. MERRILL COLTON The sharpened interest in education has produced a number of clearly defined yardsticks for evaluating the work of individual students as well as the effec- tiveness of the total school program. As we have applied these to the Class of '60, we have observed that those capable of high achieve- ment have taken the recommended coursesp that a good quality level of performance has been main- tained by a high per cent of the class, and that a greater number of this group plan to continue with some form of training beyond graduation. These indications reflect the positive tones which this class has evidenced in carrying on the traditions of the school. We commend this, and from it find as- surance that the program can become even more effective for the classes that follow. To each member of the class of 1960 we urge con- tinued devotion to a high quality of performance whatever the task may be, and give assurance of our interest in the success that lies ahead. MERRILL L. COLTON Superintendent
