At the club meetings the members work to improve their dramatic abilities by performing for the other members of the club. Every year Cap and Bells and members of the senior class present a play for the benefit of the senior class. The club also presents a Christmas play every year, in which all the members take part. To become a member one must try out be' fore a group of judges who give the candidates points for their qualities of speech, diction, pos' ture, dramatic ability, poise, and stage presence. The 1941 team, with Captain Bud Handel' man at its head, played seven matches with Rockland County high schools Generally the team did not play spectacularly but they did win their share of the matches The season was opened with a match with Suffern and the Tigers lost the match by drop ping all three tilts The team came right back to beat Stony Point but again dropped its next event with Nyack In the match with Haverstraw, the Valley won once and lost two games, Pearl River was an easy victim for the Tigers as the team took all three games. In the two final matches with Piermont and Congers, the Tigers lost all of the scheduled games Those players who will he on the 1947 team after at least one year of previous team exper ience are Leihowitz Marvin Scholten and Zitomersky Those players earning their major letters are Marvin Kahn Wagner and Leobowitz vw- ffa-wt . , ' , .
