In the Saga of civilization, the Vikings, their travels, and accomplishments attest to their influ- ence on the development of civilized man. The historian, Kenneth Clark, says that the Viking Ship represents energy, will and creative power. The spirit of the Vikings lives today and drives Spring Valley High School to accomplish beyond what is expected of a high school in academics, arts, and sports. Success is the result of the com- bined energy, will and creative power of students, faculty, staff and community. Success was the sum of classes, organizations and activities.
