OPHOMORE CLASS HISTORY Our class has been together since the lirst grade. It is bright and smart as only ours can be, which is shown in the election of some of our members as officers of the Literary' Society, in both our Freshmen and Sophomore years. i l A member of the faculty has given us power to inconvenience her with nervous prostration, which is the effect of lessons too well pre- pared. For some time this year, during the first period in the morning, we Sophomores transformed the assembly hall into a menagerie, where all kinds of animals were for show, that could talk both German and Latin. l'his was all very educational. Political parties are being formed in our class, which are so evenly matched in power that questions of the utmost importance have been very hard to decide upon,-for instance, such questions as Willem we were to have our picture taken, etc. Uur class, however, think this much more interesting than when everything happens uniformly and smoothly. Officers have been elected long ago without much discussion, since at that time our members were not infatuated with party spirit. This has helped us all very much in Civics. With the help of all these useful things, we expect to become great men and women-after we have been Seniors. Some probably will be book-keepers and work ten problems per day for their employersg others will go into the map business, which must be very profitable when they have had experience in drawing at least thirty in nine months. Considering all the knowledge we have accumulated, it is hardly r fair not to say that it has been a successful year.
