Cheerful Service Community service was the main goal of NHS projects during the ' 73- ' 74 school year. Money from bake sales and car washes was used to take the area mentally retarded chil- dren to John Ball Park and Windmill Island. Much of their time was given in helping those in the Sixty-Plus Club pre- pare their homes for winter. The SL chapter of NHS also sponsored College Night along with Fruitport and Grand Haven, and was involved in selling bricks to help pay for the new YMCA facilities. It is a club for the community ' s service.
