Sands of Time Homecoming ' 73- ' 74 brought reminiscence and excitement to stu- dents, teachers, and alumni of S.L.H.S. A parade to school featur- ing the marching band, football players, cheerleaders, and Home- coming Court led to one of the big- gest bonfires ever! The Juniors and Frosh went to great lengths collect- ing wood, but could not measure up to the transcending Senior-Sopho- more peak. To express a theme of recalling the past, former cheerlead- ers were invited back to participate with our own JV and Varsity cheer- leaders during the game. Half-time held everyone ' s anticipation as Mr. Huggins crowned the ' 73- ' 74 Queen, Mary Currie. Even rain could not spoil the excitement and cheer- ing as Kip Wiersma was crowned King after the game. Students and previous courts were reminded of Homecoming dating back to 1 965 as they ventured down the Yellow- brick Road at the dance. (!) Joy and disbelief marks Mary Currie ' s face as the Homecoming Queen of 1973-74 is revealed. (2) fiomecoming King and Queen, Kip Wiersma and Mary Currie. (3) Mobbed with fans, the Varsity gridiron stars catch a free ride to the bonfire. (4) Hey baby, I need a bite to eat. Randy Mrozinski, Terri Hubert.
