1 ! A T itiCj Season This year ' s S.L. wrestling season had its best record in duals since 1968. Ric Rymal and Jim Coats were voted co-coptains for this year ' s team with Rymal winning the C.H. award. The Lakers, though suffering many injuries, had several men win- ning 1 7 or more matches; Scott VanStrate and Don Grant, sopho- mores, Ric Rymal and Dan Burt, juniors and seniors, Robin Holmes and Jim Coats. Robin was Spring Lake ' s outstanding wrestler winning a number of medals and participating in the state wrestling meet. Bct MH Ending the season with a 1 3-8 over all record the Varsity Baseball team was tied for 3rd in the Conference. This year ' s team was the first S.L. team to be runners up for the district championship and also first to win a district game. Their best pitcher was Tim Bailey, a sophomore, with a 6-2 record.
