Sunday, June 1 0, 1 973, was the Com- mencement day chosen for the class of ■73. The ceremony began at 3 p.m. A vocal trio of Senior girls sang Whe nce Comes Wisdom and were followed by the Salu- tatorian and Valedictorian addresses. Selections from the band and the Com- mencement Address given by Mr. R. DeVos, President of Amway Corp. pre- ceded presentation of diplomas. Mr. DeVos spoke about The Real World. The times are said to be good and bad however, the people of these days are ones to be thought about. The dedication of our generation is important. Senior . . . What does it really mean? To the class of 1 973 it means the end of some things and the beginning of others. Elementary recesses and high school free mods; waiting for class rings to come in; working on Homecoming or Prom committees; four years of a sport with the same people; waiting for graduation picture proofs to come in; waiting for graduation announcements, caps and gowns to arrive. Leaving friends you ' ve had for over 1 3 years seems very sad. It is only the end of one step in a person ' s life. Now every ' 73 graduate must endeavor to fit into another part of his life.
