Chapman-Frifeldt Reign Over Homecoming Festivities The Homecoming game at Spring Lake capped many months of ex- citement for the coun as well as the student body. Cindy Chapman and Don Frifeldt were crowned queen and king.

The 1971-72 Snident Council was an active, exciting group. Many dances were provided which were entertaining and well attended. The students took an active part in their responsibilities towards the goal of self dis- cipline. Under the modular system many students were able to experience some of the real live situations involving student or Voter apathy and some of the problems faced by today ' s society. Easter Seal Campaign and Muscular Dystro- phy were outside projects, as well as partici- pation in Health Careers Day, and a new vocational visitation program to be offered in the 1972-73 school year. The Spring Lake Student Councils were honored by having Julie Berry elected as President of Region 9, and Mark Fitzerald, President of Junior High Student Council, elected as second Vice-President of Region 9. Eighty students representing eighteen schools visited our school for a spring con- vention on the organization of student gov- ernment and the Student Council in the community.
