HARMON know they will get a good workout with parts of speech, verbals, and diagraming, and will do plenty of writing before the year is done. Speech and Spanish classes also appreciate the fact that they earn their grades, but because each one knows this is beneficial to him he simply buckles down and works. Harmon - Peer Do you remember how to deagram sentences? These English students could probably refresh your memories because of extensive work in this area. Supplementary reading was also introduced through the Reader 's Digest pro- gram. MR. PEER lectures to American gov- ernment and Isms classes to keep young people interested in current problems. P. E. girls have as much fun in German football as they did bicycle riding. Health students learn about first aid by experiment- ing on MISS WOOLARD. Making out income tax forms was one phase of economics which will be useful. Psychology was taught second semester. Miss Woolard also teaches world history class which made a trip to Old Castle Museum and the Quayle Bibles in Baldwin. Woolard - Green Flower collections, the spring project for biology classes, are being prepared by two students. Some collections contained as many as sixty specimens. General science covers the chemical action of fire extin- guishers to the principle of the barometer and the reading of weather maps. An excel- lent way of expressing oneself is with color and line through painting and sketching. These artists absorb fresh air and sunshine while they receive an art grade from MRS. GREEN . ,f

With two sections of Algebra I, Algebra II, geometry, physics, general mathematics, and a special class in advanced math, MR. GREEN was kept quite busy. From the il- lustrations we see various problems which were encountered - line graphs, theorems, slide rules, frations and . . . flying machines Green - Petrie So many students demanded driver education that this year four sections were added to the curriculum. Here the class attempts to change a tire. American history and boys' health and physical education are also taught by MR. PETRIE.
