1 Mr. J. W. King, our band director, attended Texas Tech where he s was assistant directorjof the Tech band in '46-'47, He received l 'Q 2'f:', his S. Degree. in Education with a major- in Band and Music. l ' Before coming to Big Spring, Mr. King taught in Westbrook High .I-n School one year. He has been director of the B.S.H.S. band for three years. At present, Mr. King is working for his Masters N-as Degree in Music Education at Texas Tech. '4 3 he .. , sis, 732 gg like Q x... , e c f WHO'S WHO Left - Senior representatives, Woody Wood and Luan Creighton, This is Woody's first time as a Who's Who representative, but he has represented B.S.H.S, on a great many Hi-Y trips. He is also president of the Key Club and Hy-Y. Luan Creighton has captured a large number of honors during her high school days. She was sec- retary of her freshman class, freshman favorite, junior vice-president, yell leader for two years, and co-editor of the Corral. This is L,uan's second time to be chosen Who's Who. Above - June Cook and Amos Jones This is Iune's second year to be chosen Who's Who. She was elected to serve on the Student Coun- cil and chosen football queen. June is also a mem- ber of the Tri-Hi-Y Club, and ranks high in scho- lastic achievements. Amos is our student body president and was also president of his junior class. He hasbeen active in football, basketball, and track. He was chosen because of his personality and athletic abil- ity. Left - Dallas Woods and Dolores Franklin This is Dallas' first year to serve as Who's Who representative. He was senior representative on the Student Council and held the office of vice- president of his senior class. Dallas was also out- standing in athletics. Dolores is editor ofour 1950 El Rodeo. She has represented the Tri-Hi-Y Club on many trips and she is secretary of the Tri-Hi-Y Club. Dolores was chosen Who's Who because of her scholastic abil- ities.
