N NK .sy AMOS JONES STUDENT PRESIDENT Amos was elected to his post as student president by a very large majority. Since that time he has proved his capability in leadership by having led our student body successfully the entire year, through toils and pleasures. He has recognized each person and shown good will all year. STUDENT COUNCIL Left to right: Marion Short, Sponsorg Mona Lue Walker, Shirley Riddle, Marilyn Miller, Amos Jones, Dallas Woods, Jackie Little, June Cook, Wanda Petty, Luan Creighton. Standing are: Charles Rose, Doyle Mason, Bud Whitney, and Elbert Long. The student council has been very active this yearg some of their activities include the publishing of the student handbook, the publishing and selling of school book. ,covers and station- ery, and attending a Fort Stockton meeting in the fall. They also attended meetings in Amarillo and Del Rio during the spring. For student welfare this year they promoted and sponsored Twirp Week, Ranch Week, special dances , holiday and weekly assemblies , and good will tours to both Abilene and Sweetwater,

Degree. in Education with a major- in Band and Music. l ' Before coming to Big Spring, Mr. King taught in Westbrook High .I-n School one year. He has been director of the B.S.H.S. band for three years. At present, Mr. King is working for his Masters N-as Degree in Music Education at Texas Tech.
