Front row - left to right: Gwen Roberts, Luan Creighton, Kitty Rob- erts, Betty Wolfe, Margaret Becker. The B team had a very impressive record last year. They played 14 games and lost only 1. Their total points for the s e a s on was 649, wh i l e the opposition scored 267. VOLLEY BALL TEAM Back Row - left to right: Coach Arah Phillips, Maxie Younger, Susan Houser, Charlene Wilson, Pearlie Mae Clanton, Jo Nell West, Front Row - left to right:- Mgr. Teddy Carpenter, Deffie Merworth, Pat Kiser, Mona Lou Walker, Barbara Dehlinger, Sue Craig. The High SchoolGirls ' Volleyball team won district championship last year by de- feating Abilene in the finals 44-2.3. Earlier in the season they won the Lamesa Tournament, and were consulation winners of their own tournament. They played 24 games and lost only three. They scored 713 points to 406 for the opposition. Right--Miss Phillips has been a very good coach for the highschool girls. Along with Miss Smith, Qleftj, she has turned out quite a volleyball team in the past years. Besides coaching the volleyball girls, Miss Phillips is our Physical Education teacher: Miss Smith is the 8th grade Physical Education teacher.
