He hada way of making them all work for the good of the team. Coach Isaacs has been well liked by all. Coach Isaacs attended Mc- Lj Q--0 w Murry at Abilene. , , Q 'ff Coach Wayne Bonner--Coach ofthe Short- ' ii: horns has been here only two years, but I has turned out a couple of good teams. A He c oache s the backs and has them do just about everything perfectly. Coach Bonner attended N.T.S.C. Right picture-R.--Mgr. Blankenship was a reserve center for the A team but received an injured shoulder in practice and could not play any more this season. He then became a B manager and did a very good job. Mgr. Marchbanks was a little small for football, but decided to stay out as a B manager this year and also did a very good job.

Howard Jones play- ed his first year of A team foot- ball, but showed his ability as an end, This is his last year of eligi- bilityg he weighs 155 lbs. He leads the Steers in pass catching with Z7 passes. Joe Mize played very little ball with the A team,but showed his wares in the Sweetwater game. He played most of the s eas on with the B teamg he has one vear of eligibility left. QL IQ? E- I ,' I 1 ,Tx ' -1 ff! h , Carrol Cannon being brought coming up in the background. down by a herd of Tornadoes. Laswell Robert Cobb played most of his season with the B team, but moved to give the Steers better passing attacks. He has one more year of eligibility and should rate a starting spot at quarterback. Robert weighs 150 lbs. Kenneth Williams played fullback, but did not play too much due to injuries. He earned his second A letter and has one year of eligibility left. Kenneth weighs 160 lbs. C a r r ol C a nnd played right-ha and was one of tl' best backs on til team. He finish: his eligibility th: year, while earnir his first 'A' lette' Carrol weighs ll lbs.

Standing - Dub Day. Dub did well in both the line and backfield. He has one more year of eligibil- itv and weighs 140 lbs. Left picture. Frank Philley fleftl was exceptionally good at snagging touchdown passes and crashing the line, He ended his eligibility this year. Speck Franklin fcenterl was a fleet-footed back this year. He has another year of eligibility. Donald MacRichardson frightl was a little small, but had a lot ofdrive. Weight - 135 lbs. Right picture. Wendell Stasey fleftl was hurt at the first of the year and was unable to finish the season, Ray Adams fcenterl played quarter- back during the latter part ofthe season and did a good job. He has another year to play. Johnny Fort fright, took part for the first time this year. He weighs 150 lbs. and has one remaining year of eligibility. Left picture. Jimmie Harper fleftj. This is Jimmie's first year. He played guard and has two more years. He weighs 140 lbs. Harold Haney fcenterj is a tackle and did his best to fulfill that position. He weighs 140 lbs. Ronald Farquhar fright, better known as The Weed played his second year of B team ball. He is an end weighing 155 lbs. Right picture. Hollis Harper fleftl is a tall, lanky end who saw a lot of action this year. He weighs 140 lbs. and should play varsity ball during his two remaining years. Charles Warren fcenterl played a lot of de- fense during this year. He weighs 130 lbs. Ray Phillips fright, came out only the latter part of the year, but did exceptionally well. Weighs 175 lbs. and has two remaining years. Left-Joe Spinks. Althougl Joe is rather small, h4 gave other men theil share of trouble. He is 4 g uar d weighing 135 lbs and has one more year o eligibility. Center-Leonard Hartley He has proved his ability as a center and defensive line-backer. He tips thn scales at 155 and shoulc be playing varsity bal next year, Right-Autry Burke. He did a good job of holding down the middle ofthe line and has another year. He is a guard weighing 155 lbs.
