Below - C. B. Harris -- C. B. was a little light, but made himself known on the de- fense. He played center and finishedhis 2 years of eligibility, His weight is 145 lbs. gs. t fk, 'r y ! 'ka' 'f I I , . , 1. , 1. .cv -if Above- Charles Porch- Charles played end on the Steers and was a Senior this year. He kept the regu- lars hustling fo r their starting po- sitions even though he was a little small. He weighs 145 lbs. Billy Tubbs rips off a few yards against Brownwood. Coming in for the tackle is Don Low 1451 and Billy Bishop f35J. Big Spring won the game 14-13. 5 5.2 1:21 Left -Joe Mil1er-- Joe was one of the many guards on the Steer squad. He played mostly on defense and com- vpleted his last year of eli- gibility. Joe was one of the largest men on the team, weighing ZOO lbs. Right- Jackie Jennings -- Jackie is small, but made his presence felt by the larger boys. Heweighs 130 lbs. and is a Senior this year. f J I Above-Tomm Porter- Tomm played tackleo the Steer squa this year andbrok into quite afe' games. He is Senior and Weigh 180 lbs. fl- I I

Dallas Woods le ad i ng interfer- v 5 xg:-P CRCG, N Bobby Wheeler made quite a record for himself this year even though he didn't really start playing until the El Paso Hi game. Bobby weighs 170 and is one of Coach Coleman's best halfback prospects in '50 since he is one of the returning lettermen. I..owie Rice was ineligible for the Steers, but was one of the B Team's best defensive men al- though he only weighs 145 lbs. He would have fit very well on the Steer Team,but Lowie graduates this year, Dallas Woods completed his eligi- bility this year with nothing to be ashamed of. He turned in a very good season as a guard this year, Dallas weighs about 145 lbs. , l , - K , W. Drake was one of the best hust- ers on the Steers this year. He was lways full of fire and held down his uard position very well. John is a raduating letterman who weighs 155 ns. . Hector 'eighs 146 lbs.: his is his last ear to play. i ' 1 K . Ross Word played a few games for the A team, but was sent to the B team for seasoning. He is an end and weighs 190 lbs. Ross has one year left to play and should become a standout. .E vii. i 1 .fig , X X ' Amos Jones being brought down by Billy Bishop of the Brownwood Lions. Floyd Martin coming up. Loy Carrol did not play much this year,but has one year of eligibility left and should take a starting guard spot next year. Loy kept the regulars hustling for their positions. He weighs 150 lbs. Allan Holmes did not play much with the A team, but played regularly on the B team. He has one more year to play and should be an A team regular. He weighs 160 lbs. 1 Dewey Phelan was an end and did not play very much, but kept the reg- ulars hustling to keep their starting positions. This is his last year of eligibility: he weighs 140 lbs.
