To the soononore class, the class of 1953, we will our co-operative spirit. To the Juniors, the class of 1952, we will our unfailing Integrity and perseverance. To the student body, as a whole, we do hereby will our fond remembrances of our happy school days. We, Loraine Bohnsack, Josephine Thuli, and Helen Metcslf, have set our hands and seal hereto on this day of Februajy 5, 1951, in the year of our Lord. Signed, sealed, published, and declared as the last will and testament by the Senior Class in the presence of each other, have subscribed our names hereto as witnesses on the day and vear foresaid. Witnesses: In the fall of 1947 thirty-nine dumb-founded pupils entered Spring Green High School as freshmen. After realizing we should settle down and organize for bus- iness we elected Teddy Slauson as president, Sally Hogan as vice- president, Marian Ederer as. secretary, snd Charles Roessler as treasurer. We had Mr. Pratt and Mrs. Grant Solem as our advisors. Members who left us this first year were: Eleanor Scheideggei William Schofield, Bessie Howard, and Charles Roessler. Lloyd Watson was added to our ranks. Next year we knew a little bit more about school life. Now we were sophomores and had our chance at initiation ceremonies. It was known to be true that the freshmen didn't appreciate our humor at time. Class officers for this year were: Alphy Thering, president; Lila Stoddard, vice-president; Sally Hogan, secretary; and Beverly Miller, treasurer. Our class advisors were Mr. Clowes and Mr. Johnson. Our junior year began with the thrill of receiving our class rings. Gala plans and preparations for our all important prom followed. Our king, Harland Smith, and queen, Beatrice Jensen, led us in the grand march to the strains of our theme - ’’Moonlight sr. d Roses. Class officers for this year were: Harland Smith as presi- dent, Pat Coyle as vice-president, Lila Stoddard as secretary and Dorothy Bindl as treasurer. This term we gained Josephine Thuli and Audrey Tennant. We lost Carol Johnson, Caroline Gruber, Dorothy Farris, Anthony Url, Beverly Miller, Shirley Neefe, James Harrington, and Pat Coyle. Our advisors were Mrs. Anderholm and Mr. Rens. At last, our senior year was at hand. It Just didn't seem possible that after three years of being together, this was our last. So we organized ourselves by electing Lawrence Bindl as president, Teddy Slauson as vice-president, Harland Smith as sec- retary, and Donna Hanson as treasurer. Our class advisors were Miss Martindale and Mr. Fox. Thos? who left us this year were Larry Bindl and Patsy Weitzel. Barbara Larson and Dale Chappy Pletzer reigned as king and queen over the homecoming celebrations of 1950. In September we went to Sanchez In Madison to have our pictures taken. We were all very busy making preparations for graduation, doing heaps of homework, and ordering announcements and calling cards. Thus, our high school days draw to a close with many fond memories still lurking in our minds - fun and freindships, thrills of witnessing basketball and football games, especially when we won the championship title in basketball in February of 1951, enjoying dances, dates, and acquaintances that will never be for- gotten. 31 I JUNIORS First row L to R.
