With that tliougln the class elected Barry Irey. president: .Ianies Uehleit. vice president: llarbara Burns. tieasurei: -lane Lewis. secretary, Thr-se oflicers aiclecl their aclviser in organizing their financial cznnpaigns and in planning their social activities, Class Adviser Xflss Xlary U. .-Xncliews. a nienibei of the coin- niercial cleparlnient, is the faculty adviser to the senior class. I.ast year. the first of the jointure. Mr. Robert McNelly was the other adviser: bow- ever. his coachinu assignments necessitatecl his release as class adviser. Bliss Andrews very ably Quicletl the Class of l957 through a very busy ancl trying year of activities. Her burden was eased somewhat through the assistance of senior parents. but that clicl not erase all of the financial problems of the class which haunted her consistently. 'l'o Nliss Andrews the Class of 1957 ofliers its sincere thanks for her enclless efforts on behalf of the class. of 1957 The usual activities were assigned to the entire class: twenty connnittees were organized. too. for group campaigns. These included washing cars. selling cakes and nylon stockings. sponsoring clan- Ces and numerous other projects. With the able assistance of the parents and our aclviser. Bliss .-Xnclrews. we were able to fulfill our obligations for the year. It certainly can be saicl that our senior year was one of consistent cooper- ation.
