They're Getting It All Together Eight cheerleaders do not a pep rally make. It takes the combined efforts of the band, Brigade, Chums, Scholars and student body, plus the effervescence of the cheer- leaders to make a pep rally work. Besides their spirited members, the Scholars provided skits and the Chums pro- vided a new Bear, The band brought the fight song, the alma mater and Go, fight, win, tonight, yea high school! Super-soul spirit was from the Brigade and sometimes even the student body. Becky, Bev, Patty, Terri, Buster, Chuck, David, and Glen led it and on Friday it got itself together. Are you going to lead fish cheer or am I going to have to do it? Buster Culver and Chuck Schneider talk it over. But I don't want to go! The next morn- ing, students found out they were involved in everything from a melee lhand to hand combatj to rock and brick throwing. Where is the media's credibility gap? It may not have been the longest, but the 7977 homecoming Bonfire surpasses all others in notoriety and memories.
