These Angels with careful planning provide for the needs of our ex- panding school system. Much thought and valuable time is given freely by these gentlemen to this project. Continuous study is made of increasing enrollment so that additional educational facilities may be assured. Broad- way has never known angels like these, who put so much into the show and get nothing in return. THREE ROUSING CHEERS FOR OUR ANGELS DID YOU KNOW? 1948-49 was the first year Spring Branch Independent School District had twelve grades in its system. A total of 822 students en- rolled in all grades with 165 in Junior and Senior High. There was only one campus at that time, the present Spring Branch Elementary, without the new additions. The system boasted 22 teachers and two principals, and, of course, Dr. Landrum. Eight were graduated from Spring Branch High in June of 1949. 1955-56 finds 6750 students enrolled in eight schools.
