These Clubs Take to the Out-of-Doors 1973-74 MOUNTAINEERING CLUB: J.C. Cote, Pam Stains, Duaine Brenner, Laurie Reardon, Brad Belleville, Gordon Milnes, Gary Cruce, Tom Nesbit. 1973-74 SKI CLUB: Valerie Weiselburg, Jerry Lawrence, Dr. Winslow, Mark Caddy, Louise Parsons, Pat Landrum, Bethany Adams, Bob Herman, Sheryl Temple, Mary Lou Betts, Laura Milnes, Elaine Lewis, Harris Gilroy, Sue Starr, Karen Clark, Mike Bildner, Jim Olson, Joy Hendershot, Gordon Milnes, Paula Haag. Encouraged by the summer school program held in the Teton Mountains of Wyoming, the Mountaineering Club was formed in the fall of 1972. The shortage of mountains in the vicinity has not inhibited the Mountaineering Club from having a good time. They have participated in backpacking week-ends, canoe trips, and scaling the ledges in Grand Ledge, Michigan, with the equipment purchased by the club. The Mountaineering Club members love nature and don't mind roughing it a bit. The Ski Club was assembled in the fall of 1973 by Dr. Winslow and a number of ski enthusiasts. Until December they were forced to sit tight and wait for their prime element — snow. The action then began when the club enjoyed many skiing excursions. 123
