Spring Arbor College and community were honored to have astronaut Al Worden from the Apollo 15 moon flight as guest speaker. He shared with students his experiences and presented to the college a plaque autographed by he and the other astronauts commemorating the lunar expedition. The English Department was proud to present Robert Hayden, one of the leading Black poets of our time. He captivated the student body by his unique oral presentation of past experiences written in poetic form. He is currently in the Humanities Department at the University of Michigan. 36

Chaim Polok The Problems of Identity of Orthodox Jews IDENTITY IN A TROUBLED WORLD The Spring Arbor College Concept hoick the students and faculty responsible for intellectual inquiry and analytical action in order to better deal with the major problems of the troubled world. The Mid-Year Seminar for 1972 dealt with the search for one's identity as an integral part (or integrating and constructing one's personality, thus arriving at a more meaningful synthesis of the issues, using a Christian world view as a basis. Speakers, renown throughout the nation, presented various issues on the quest for seeking one's true identity and the responsibility of each Christian to find his place and purpose in society. Then students and faculty of Spring Arbor College as well as invited guests from other colleges and universities had the opportunity for questioning, discussion, and reflection. 38 U.
