The opening game was beTween Edwall and LamonT. This game was never in doubr wiTh LamonT winning 32 To 8. The second game Tound Ewan playing Sprague. Ewan Tried a sTalling Type aT game, buT were noT successTul in sTopping The Sprague Tive. Final score, Sprague I7, Ewan IZ. The Tinal nighT, Ewan played Edwall Tor Third place. Ewan won 26 To 15. Edwall received The sparTsmanship Trophy. Sprague and LamonT played Tor The championship in The Tinal game. LamcnT wan The championship by a score ol: 35 To 28. The local Tive goT OTT To a slow sTarT and didn'T Tind The baslceT unTil The Tinal minuTes OT play. Trophies were donaTed by The Sprague Lions Club, American Legion, P.T.A., and l-udTke and Jones. Winning The Tree Throw Trophy This year was Larry Lce wiTh 432. Players Tor The 7Th and 8Th grade This year were Bob Daverilz, Fred Hill, Larry Lee, Larry CoTTman, Louie Nihoul, Tom Fox, ClayTon BeTz, Lonnie Henson, Larry Dauncey, and Jimmy Gihiing. Manager was Dean STolp. 5Th and 6Th Grade Those playing on The 5Th and 6Th grade Team were PeTe Jones, Kon LamporTer, Frank STiner, Charlie Hill, David SielaTT, Larry Becker, Rodney Reed, Gary Henson, and Johnny STiner. These boys improved a greaT deal as The season wenT on. In The be- ginning They were guiTe inexperienced buT many oT Them developed inTo good shoTs and ball handlers as The season ended.
